3 simple ways to become better at copywriting as an early copywriter.
Write copy and sell something. If you’re new to copywriting, finding things around the house to sell on sites, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, and then writing ads to sell those items, is a great start.
Many items don’t necessarily sell themselves easily, so being able to craft a good Ad will help you visualize the benefits of buying your products — and get them sold.
You will also learn what works and what doesn’t.
The second way to hone your skills is by becoming an affiliate.
Join an affiliate network and promote offers using the platforms I listed earlier and any other you know.
You can collaborate with a real estate agency to sell their properties,
Write ads and link your ads to the affiliate offers. You get commission whenever someone complete a certain action through your copy.
This is a good way to learn the art of Copywriting and still get paid.
Also, you may help small businesses with their advertising. If you have a friend or family who own a business, you could offer to write their consumer facing copy, such as website copy, ads, social media copy and captions, etc.
That’s a very good way to get wet as a beginner copywriter and to learn how to get results for behind sees.
The third way is by becoming obsessed with advertising.
Keep eyes on effective copy that gets your attention. It could be banner, printed ad or an online ad.
Focus on learning what they have in common, and you will get better as a copywriter. It will also serve as inspiration.
If you see an ad on your way out or while browsing the internet, critique the ad and improve it.
Write copy for an imaginary brand and write copy for it. You can ONLY become better at copywriting by doing copywriting.
I can go on and on but these are great ways to start.
Hope this helps.
